Job summary

The New Jewish Home in Manhattan is seeking full-time Registered Nurses (RNs) to fill 12-hour day shifts on the Upper West Side. A sign-on bonus of $5,000 is available for full-time hires, with prorated bonus for part-time positions.

Under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Supervisor, the RN plans, administers and assists in all activities on a specific Nursing Unit, in a manner consistent with The New Jewish Home mission, vision and values.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years long term and acute care experience preferred.
• BCLS required and IV Therapy certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in, monitors and reports about the quality of life and care issues of residents/clients.
• Participates in the assessment of residents/clients.
• Participates in the management of the Environmental of Care as it relates to the safety of residents/clients and staff.
• Participates in the surveillance, prevention and control of infection, by adhering to and ensuring compliance of staff with infection control policies and procedures.
• Performs other related duties as directed.
