ProHealth Physicians in Danbury, part of OptumCare, has an immediate opening for a friendly, patient-focused, and detail-oriented RN to join our team. This is a 40-hour per week position, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. The schedule will be determined by the Practice Manager.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Order vaccines as needed
• Oversee the medical team's CLIA competencies
• Serve as a liaison between patients, staff, and providers
• Support the care team by providing and documenting nursing care following established standards and practices
• Provide patient care and education, and assist in locating and coordinating services from other providers and resources
• Document all patient interactions and clinical activities accurately and promptly in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Maintain respect for patients and staff by presenting a friendly, courteous manner and maintaining confidentiality
• Build patient confidence, trust, and loyalty through attentive care
• Prepare patients for visits by recording height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, head circumference, current medications, and chief complaints
• Triaging patients according to approved protocols, answering and documenting phone calls, and routing messages to providers
• Administer injections and perform preventive screenings
• Educate patients on their conditions and self-management strategies
• Carry out standing orders such as prescription refills and test orders, following policies
• Schedule tests, treatments, and follow-up visits; assist patients with outside resources and referrals
• Monitor task lists, follow up on overdue orders, and critical referrals
• Order supplies and vaccines, maintain records, and prepare equipment
• Stay current with coding, OSHA, and CLIA regulations and policies
• Assist in ensuring smooth office operations and excellent service through teamwork
• Conduct outreach to patients for appointments, test results, and follow-up care
• Perform other duties as assigned
