Job summary

Majestic Care in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our care team and deliver skilled nursing services in an assigned unit under nursing management. You will supervise CNAs and support the medical care of residents, following physicians orders and state regulations.

Responsibilities include developing individualized care plans with the team, assessing residents, documenting changes, administering medications, starting IVs, and assisting with tests and procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current, active RN license in Indiana.
• CPR certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and lead team conferences in development of individualized nursing care plans.
• Assess and document the residents’ condition and nursing needs.
• Accurately and promptly implement physicians’ orders.
• Administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments for assigned residents and document that treatment as required by Majestic Care and local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
• Participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel.
• Assist physicians with special tests and procedures within the scope of state specified Nursing Practice Act.
• Report and record pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents.
• Coordinate nursing care of residents when scheduled for therapy or procedures by other departments.
• Assist with or institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in residents.
