Job Summary and Qualifications

We seek a dynamic RN to join our Peri-operative team. As an RN in the CVOR setting, you will collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to deliver quality care, providing preventive and supportive intra-operative care tailored to each patient.

Responsibilities include:

• Recognizing and addressing urgent and emergent surgical situations.
• Maintaining continuity and quality of patient care.
• Assessing and monitoring patients’ medical status in the OR.
• Ensuring the OR is prepared with all necessary supplies and equipment.
• Keeping the operating room sterilized.
• Reviewing charts for completeness according to documentation protocols.
• Communicating effectively with patients, team members, and physicians.

Minimum Requirements:

• Florida RN license or approved multistate license (with 60 days to obtain Florida license if relocating).
• Associate Degree or RN Diploma.
• At least 2 years of recent RN experience in Open Heart Surgical Services.
• CNOR preferred.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification within 30 days of employment.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification within 6 months.
• BLS-AHA Provider card within 30 days.
• ACLS and PALS certifications or instructor status within 6 months.
