Job summary

Palmdale Regional Medical Center in Palmdale, CA, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to perform nursing interventions per the interdisciplinary plan of care. You will communicate patient care needs to the health care team and educate patients and families as appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in cardio-thoracic/coronary artery bypass surgery.
  • Written and verbal communications, interpersonal skills.
  • Registered Nurse with current California RN license.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification from American Heart Association.
  • Current ACLS certification.
  • Current PALS certification preferred.
  • CNOR preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs interventions identified for each nursing diagnosis on the Interdisciplinary Plan of Care.
  • Demonstrates the ability to effectively communicate patient care needs to all members of the multidisciplinary health care team.
  • Conducts patient/family education that is appropriate to the patient’s age, learning needs, level of understanding and readiness to learn, includes the family/significant others when appropriate.
  • Documents nursing intervention and patient teaching.

  • Basic organizational and computer skills. Registered Nurse with current California RN license.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification from American Heart Association
  • Current ACLS certification
  • Current PALS certification preferred
  • CNOR preferred
