Job summary

Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking a CVOR Nurse to provide specialized intra-operative care for cardiac procedures. The role requires scrubbing cardiovascular procedures and performing pre-operative assessments under general supervision.

The candidate should have an Associate’s degree in Nursing, 3+ years in OR nursing with at least 1 year CVOR experience, and an active FL RN license with current BLS/ACLS. Sign-on bonus of $20,000 is offered.

In this role Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Nurse under general supervision renders professional specialized care and support to patients undergoing cardiac procedures during the intra-operative phase. In doing so possesses a comprehensive understanding of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology a strong knowledge of cardiovascular procedures and ability to scrub cardiovascular procedures. Performs pre-operative assessment of the patients’ condition administers prescribed medications provide treatments observes patients’ progress records pertinent observations and report reactions to medication and treatments. CVOR Nurse ensures compliance with all infection control policies and standards. Assist physicians with examinations and prepare instruments and equipment for physicians’ use.

Education
