Summary

  • $12,000 New Hire Bonus for FT/PT Day Shift Positions!

The Cardiovascular Lab staff assists in the performance of basic diagnostic to complex interventional Cardiac, Peripheral, and Electrophysiology procedures under the direction of the Cardiologist, Electrophysiologist, or Vascular Surgeon.

The patient population served by the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory consists of adults eighteen years and older, including geriatric patients requiring or seeking procedural or surgical intervention to maintain or restore an optimal level of wellness. The practice aligns with the mission, vision, and values of Goshen Health, the Department of Nursing’s Philosophy, and the model of care. It emphasizes professional nursing at an excellent level within the Goshen nursing model of care, focusing on the patient and family using the nursing process, culturally appropriate interventions, holistic principles, continuity of care, and patient advocacy, while maintaining a safe environment. The role promotes leadership in professional nursing through direct care and colleague relationships, guided by ethical principles, collaboration, peer review, evidence-based practice, and teaching and learning principles.

Position Accountabilities:

Position Qualifications:

Minimum Education:

  • Registered nurse with a valid Indiana State RN license. Colleagues hired with an associate degree must enter a BSN program within 12 months of hire and earn their BSN from an NLN or CCNE accredited program within 5 years of beginning their BSN degree. Effective February 2021, colleagues hired with an associate degree and 10 or more years of nursing experience may be exempt from entering a BSN program.

Minimum Experience:

  • One year of Med/Surg experience.

Certifications:

  • Healthcare Provider CPR certification.
  • ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
