Summary
The Cardiovascular Lab staff assists in the performance of basic diagnostic to complex interventional Cardiac, Peripheral, and Electrophysiology procedures under the direction of the Cardiologist, Electrophysiologist, or Vascular Surgeon.
The patient population served by the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory consists of adults eighteen years and older, including geriatric patients requiring or seeking procedural or surgical intervention to maintain or restore an optimal level of wellness. The practice aligns with the mission, vision, and values of Goshen Health, the Department of Nursing’s Philosophy, and the model of care. It emphasizes professional nursing at an excellent level within the Goshen nursing model of care, focusing on the patient and family using the nursing process, culturally appropriate interventions, holistic principles, continuity of care, and patient advocacy, while maintaining a safe environment.
