Job summary

Care Plus NJ, Inc. in Paramus, NJ, is seeking a full-time, on-site Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care at the CRSC for adults 18+ in behavioral health crisis. You will perform assessments, coordinate with the treatment team, and ensure patient safety 24/7, 365 days a year.

You will triage, educate patients and families, manage equipment, and participate in weekly supervision and team meetings while adhering to nursing standards and company policy.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree from accredited school of nursing.
• Experience with individuals with SMI and individuals with SUD.
• Valid New Jersey licensure as RN.
• CPR/AED (BLS) certification.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable by agency’s automobile insurance for primary drivers.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to individuals served at the CRSC.
• Perform assessment, triage, treatment, and patient care responsibilities appropriate to the ages of the individuals served and with knowledge of patient growth and development.
• Identify and document initial observation and assessment of the patient’s needs for immediate nursing action.
• Provide patient and/or family education as needed.
• Collaborate with all members of the treatment team and communicate relevant care information during shift-to-shift report.
• Check that all monitoring and emergency equipment on hand is in good working order.
• Effectively utilize computer system as it pertains to job responsibilities and policy.
• Participate in weekly supervision and team meetings.

Full-time 40 hours, On-site : 4 (10 hour) days, evenings, and weekends

What We Are Looking For:
