Job summary

The Registered Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population to achieve desired outcomes. This position focuses on expanding knowledge and skills, provides effective direct care as part of the interdisciplinary team to a variety of complex patients.

This role requires a current New Jersey nursing license, BLS/CPR, ACLS and PALS, with BSN strongly preferred or willingness to obtain within three years.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
• BLS/CPR, ACLS and PALS certification is required.
• Six (6) months or more nursing experience OR active Nurse Residency Program participation.
• Two (2) years of recent critical care experience strongly preferred.
• Telemetry experience preferred.
• Ventilator experience preferred.
• Prior PACU/recovery experience preferred.
• National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.

Responsibilities

• Directs and oversees care by other caregivers through delegation and coordination.
• Coordinates patient care and unit activities among nursing peers, physicians and support services.
• Provides effective direct care as part of the interdisciplinary team to a variety of complex patients.
