American Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse Correctional for a travel nursing job in Jarratt, Virginia.
Job Title: RN: Corrections
Location: Jarratt, Virginia
Setting: State Prison
Pay Range: $1850 weekly
Schedule: Days, 36-hours per week, Every other weekend, Holidays as needed
Contract Length: 13 to 26-weeks
Candidate Type: Local and traveler friendly
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and deliver acute and chronic care services within the scope of a Registered Nurse (RN) in a correctional setting.
- Manage medication administration, triage, and emergency response procedures in alignment with correctional healthcare standards.
- Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) to accurately document patient care, treatment plans, and follow-up in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a secure, structured environment—providing care that truly matters.
- 3-5 years of experience as a RN
- Qualified applicants MUST have at least 1-3 years of experience in the correctional setting
- Valid Registered Nurse license
- Be willing to obtain Virginia licensure
