Job summary

UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital in Florida is hiring a Registered Nurse to provide evidence-based nursing care across a patient care team, under Unit Director supervision. You\'ll assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, document in EMR, administer meds, monitor patient conditions, and collaborate with physicians and staff.

The ideal candidate holds an ADN, pursuing BSN preferred, with active Florida RN license and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Current Florida RN license.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for assigned patients.
• Deliver safe, high-quality patient care per evidence-based practices.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely.
• Monitor patient condition and communicate changes to the team.
• Promote patient safety and infection prevention protocols.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to improve outcomes.
• Supervise and delegate to LPNs, CNAs, and support staff.
• Provide education and support to patients and families.
• Participate in unit quality improvement and training.
• Mentor or precept new staff and students.
