Job description

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for:

  1. Providing psychiatric nursing care for patients ages 8-17 years on our new Community Based Acute Treatment (CBAT) Program.
  2. Administering and monitoring medications as part of treatment plans.
  3. Overseeing and managing therapeutic milieu and overseeing care provided by Milieu Counselor colleagues.
  4. Participating in individualized treatment planning and supervise the implementation and revision of plans.
  5. Utilizing interpersonal skills to establish and maintain therapeutic relationships.
  6. Providing patient/family education on aspects of care including symptom management and coping.
  7. Working as a team player and functioning as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
  8. 24 hours; rotating days/evenings, occasional nights, every other weekend and rotating holidays.

To qualify, you must have:

  1. BSN required.
  2. 1+ years of RN experience in a behavioral health setting.
  3. Inpatient and pediatric experience preferred.
