Job summary

Piedmont Newton Hospital is seeking a staff nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle, following nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care. Qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program (Bachelor's preferred), GA RN licensure (NLC/eNCL acceptable), and BCLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing. (Required)
• Bachelor's Degree Preferred
• No experience required – new graduates eligible (Required)
• Nursing experience in hospital setting preferred
• 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions preferred
• RN license in Georgia (NLC/eNCL multistate acceptable) required
• BCLS (Basic Life Support) required
• Advanced certification in specialty area if applicable (see addendum)

Responsibilities

• The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care.
• Maintains standards of practice, coordinates patient care activities, and supports quality nursing care.
