Job summary

Palmetto Infusion in Pawleys Island, SC seeks a Registered Nurse Clinician to deliver medically prescribed infusion therapy to patients with acute and chronic conditions. Workweek is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with Saturdays as needed. Service areas include Pawleys Island and travel to Myrtle Beach as needed.

The ideal candidate is a graduate nurse with an active RN license and infusion experience, proficient in MS Office, and capable of teamwork in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Active RN license in the state(s) of practice.
• 1 year of nursing experience in infusion therapy.
• BLS or obtain upon hire.
• Proficient with MS Outlook, Word, Excel.
• Able to work in a changing environment under pressure.
• Team player with Palmetto Infusion colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team in ambulatory infusion clinic.
• Assess and care for patients using the nursing process.
• Provide comprehensive nursing care professionally and compassionately.
• Educate patients and caregivers about disease and drugs.
• Comply with HIPAA and ACHC regulations.
• Participate in on-call rotation for AIC nurses.
• Travel to outlying clinics as needed.
• Maintain knowledge through in-services and education.

About the Role

The purpose of the Registered Nurse Clinician is to provide medically prescribed infusion therapy to patients with acute and chronic conditions.

Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Saturdays as needed.

Service Areas: Pawleys Island, SC and travel to Myrtle Beach, SC as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Active Registered Nurse license in the state(s) of practice.
• 1 year of nursing experience in a clinical specialty involving infusion therapy.
• BLS or obtain upon hire.
• Proficient at partner programs (i.e.: MS Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Ability to cope with ambiguous, changing environment while under pressure in a calm manner.
• Must be able to work as a team member and develop productive and cooperative working relationships with all members of the Palmetto Infusion team.

Essential Functions

• Work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team in an ambulatory infusion clinic setting.
• Effectively utilize the nursing process to assess and care for patients.
• Provide comprehensive nursing care in a professional, ethical, knowledgeable, and compassionate manner.
• Provide disease and drug-specific education to patients and caregivers.
• Comply with HIPAA and ACHC regulations.
• Participates in on-call rotation as assigned for AIC nurses.
• Travel to outlying clinics as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of medical/nursing practices by participating in educational in-services.
• Accurately perform all nursing duties according to the state nurse practice act while adhering to company policies and procedures including, but not limited to:
• accessing and maintaining central lines and PIVS
• obtaining lab specimens
• collecting vital signs
• Safely administer intravenous and injectable medications as ordered by prescribing physicians
• documenting patient care
• responding to and accurately reporting adverse drug reactions
• assisting with administrative duties as needed
