Qualifications

• Graduate of a Nursing Program.
• Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license.
• BLS certification from AHA/ARC/Canadian equivalent, required before start date and valid at least 60 days beyond start date
• ACLS required by end of unit orientation for multiple units
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required by end of unit orientation for FBC
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Wound Care Certification preferred (will be obtained within 12 months if working in Wound Care Center)
• One year related specialty care experience preferred for specified units

Responsibilities

• Assesses the physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of the patient.
• Plans and implements nursing care according to patient and family needs.
• Makes appropriate interventions based upon individual patient needs.
• Evaluates patient responses to nursing interventions.
• Maintains a safe environment for patients, families, and staff.
• Selected candidate will work weekends 1 & 3 of the 28-day schedule, plus Holiday B rotation.
