Job summary

Cooper University Health Care in South Jersey seeks a Registered Nurse to join a multidisciplinary care team. You will deliver direct patient care using the nursing process, coordinate with physicians and staff, and ensure compassionate, high-quality service across the care continuum.

Ideal candidates have 3 years of acute care experience (oncology preferred), graduate of an NLN-accredited nursing program, and an active NJ RN license with Basic Life Support.

Qualifications

• 3 years of acute care RN experience; oncology preferred.
• Graduate of NLN-accredited School of Nursing.
• Current NJ RN license with valid BLS certification; ACLS/NALS/PALS may be required for specialties.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process and evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and ancillary staff to ensure safe, effective care.
• Communicate with patients and families to support positive care experiences.

Short Description

The Registered RN is a professional care-giver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and who supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of self. Follows established policies and procedures. Communicates openly with internal customers and supervisors. Provides excellent customer service interfacing well with all levels of staff, management and physicians. Applies Cooper core values. Other duties as required.

Experience Required

• 3 years of acute care RN experience - Oncology preferred

Education Requirements

Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing.

License/Certification Requirements

• Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse).
• Current NJ-BLS Certification (Basic Life Support)
• Certain specialties may require advanced certification (i.e. ACLS, NALS, PALS).
