Job summary

Progeny Human Resource Solutions seeks a Clinical Nurse Coordinator - Charge to oversee multiple units (Med-Surg, Ortho/Neuro Trauma, NICU, and Inpatient Oncology) with rotating days/nights and weekends.

You will lead nursing teams, coordinate admissions and discharges, monitor care quality, support staff development, scheduling, inventory, and engage in service recovery to uphold exceptional patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Two years of clinical practice in the clinical specialty of his/her unit and leadership/management experience.
• ACUTE CARE LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE IS Required in a LEVEL TRAUMA 1 hospital setting.
• ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Currently licensed as a registered nurse in the state(s) of practice or have an active compact license.

Responsibilities

• Ensure and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit during the designated shift.
• Direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with policies; serve as a resource for staff.
• Assist with admission and discharge processes for efficient throughput.
• Participate in ongoing assessment of care quality in collaboration with management.
• Collaborate with managers to create a teamwork-oriented environment for improved outcomes.
• Support patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when needed.
• Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor per patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
• Support inventory control and supplies/equipment management.

Full-Time

• The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. In collaboration with other members of the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, serves as a resource person for staff, and models a commitment to the organization's vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.
• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
• Participates in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
• Supports the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
• Provides recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff. Recommends and implements courses of action, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, completion of performance evaluations, and/or disciplinary actions to ensure a competitively better organization.
• Assists with staff scheduling. Manages all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
• Supports proper inventory control and assists with managing supplies and equipment.

Shifts Available: Days, Nights & Weekends Only (Rotating Weekends)

• CNC Med-Surg: 1 weekend option nights, 1 FT day shift and 1 FT night shift (7p-7a) Rotating Weekends & (7a-7p) Rotating Weekends
• CNC Ortho/Neuro Trauma: 1 FT night (7p-7a) Rotating Weekends
• CNC Inpatient Oncology: 1 FT night (7p-7a) Rotating Weekends

• Two (2) years of clinical practice in the clinical specialty of his/her unit and leadership/ management experience
• ( ACUTE CARE LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE IS Required) * Looking for Someone that has worked in a LEVEL TRAUMA 1 acute care hospital setting leading a team
• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Registered Nurse Diploma
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation.
• Activity in professional organizations encouraged.

Salary Estimate: $35.65 - $47.64 (Depends on years of experience)

Shift Differential: $4.00/Hr. for Nights & Weekends
