Job summary

Lowell General Saints Campus seeks a Clinical Administrative Coordinator to work with the Clinical Nurse Manager/Director to ensure safe, effective care and to mentor nursing staff. You will coordinate staffing within budget and support quality improvement initiatives.

You will lead efforts in staff education and policy adherence, ensuring optimal resource use and patient care outcomes on a busy unit.

Qualifications

  • Massachusetts RN Licensure.
  • 5 Years of RN Experience with at least 1 year as a charge/lead RN.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Responsibilities

  • Assess staffing needs to provide optimal patient care within budget.
  • Prioritize and triage with nursing staff to optimize resources.
  • Mentor and coach nursing staff for professional development.
  • Educate staff on department/hospital policies, procedures, equipment, and supplies.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and clinical patient care standards.

Job OverviewThe Clinical Administrative Coordinator works in coordination with the Clinical Nurse Manager/Director to ensure that work is accomplished safely and effectively for assigned unit(s). The Coordinator will be responsible for developing nursing staff through mentoring, coaching, and education.Location: Lowell General- Saints CampusHours: Full Time (36 Hours)Job DescriptionMinimum Qualifications:1. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities listed below are intended to describe the general nature of work and are not intended to be an all-inclusive list. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.Assesses the number and level of staff required to provide optimal quality patient care within budgetary constraints and adjusts staffing as necessary.Prioritizes and triages in collaboration with nursing staff to ensure the most effective use of patient care resources.Mentors and coaches nursing staff to enhance their professional development.Educates staff on department/hospital policies, procedures, equipment, and/or supplies.Supports activities needed to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and compliance with clinical patient care standards and established policies and procedures.Participates in departmental and hospital committee meetings.Participates in quality improvement activities.Maintains professional educational development as related to evidenced-based practice.Maintains a reciprocal relationship with the Clinical Managers/Directors to assure unit productivity.Monitors and assesses need to secure additional supplies.Rounds on assigned unit(s) and consults with the nursing staff to verify that patient needs are being met.Assesses and coordinates the flow of critical care patients to optimize resources.Acts rapidly and competently, follows hospital policies and procedures in any emergency situation.Ensures organizational policies, procedures, standards and practices are communicated and followed by staff.Identifies and allocates resources according to budgetary expectations, benchmarking data, standards of nursing practice and ethical principles of care.About Lowell GeneralFor more than 125 years, Lowell General has served the Greater Lowell community with pride.
