Tufts Medicine’s Lowell General-Saints Campus seeks a Clinical Administrative Coordinator to partner with the Clinical Nurse Manager/Director. You will help ensure safe, effective care on assigned units and mentor nursing staff through coaching and education.

You’ll manage staffing within budget, coordinate resources, participate in committees, and promote evidence‑based practice, with a focus on patient care quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • Massachusetts RN licensure is required.
  • 5+ years RN experience with at least 1 year as charge/lead RN.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications are current.
  • BSN degree required.

Responsibilities

  • Assess staffing needs to provide high‑quality patient care within budgetary constraints.
  • Prioritize and triage in collaboration with nursing staff for optimal resources.
  • Mentor and coach nursing staff to support professional development.
  • Educate staff on policies, procedures, equipment, and supplies.

Job Overview

The Clinical Administrative Coordinator works in coordination with the Clinical Nurse Manager/Director to ensure that work is accomplished safely and effectively for assigned unit(s). The Coordinator will be responsible for developing nursing staff through mentoring, coaching, and education. Location: Lowell General- Saints Campus Hours: Full Time (36 Hours).

Minimum Qualifications
  • 1. Massachusetts RN Licensure.
  • 2. 5 Years of RN Experience with at least 1 year as a charge/lead RN.
  • 3. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
  • 4. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
  • 5. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assesses the number and level of staff required to provide optimal quality patient care within budgetary constraints and adjusts staffing as necessary.
  • Prioritizes and triages in collaboration with nursing staff to ensure the most effective use of patient care resources.
  • Mentors and coaches nursing staff to enhance their professional development.
  • Educates staff on department/hospital policies, procedures, equipment, and/or supplies.
  • Supports activities needed to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and compliance with clinical patient care standards and established policies and procedures.
  • Participates in departmental and hospital committee meetings.
  • Participates in quality improvement activities.
  • Maintains professional educational development as related to evidenced-based practice.
  • Maintains a reciprocal relationship with the Clinical Managers/Directors to assure unit productivity.
  • Monitors and assesses need to secure additional supplies.
  • Rounds on assigned unit(s) and consults with the nursing staff to verify that patient needs are being met.
  • Assesses and coordinates the flow of critical care patients to optimize resources.
  • Acts rapidly and competently, follows hospital policies and procedures in any emergency situation.
  • Ensures organizational policies, procedures, standards and practices are communicated and followed by staff.
  • Identifies and allocates resources according to budgetary expectations, benchmarking data, standards of nursing practice and ethical principles of care.

Pay Range: $64.68 - $82.47
