Job summary

Advanced Correctional Healthcare, Inc. seeks a registered nurse to provide timely and accurate care in correctional facilities. You will assess patients, plan and deliver care, administer prescribed medications, and coordinate with practitioners.

Active RN license in the state, BLS certification, and excellent documentation are required. You will maintain infection control, educate patients, report changes, and may cover shifts at multiple facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Knowledge of the RN scope of practice.
• May be directed to cover shifts at multiple facilities.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and deliver nursing care to patients.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Contact practitioner for orders and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Check and record vital signs and other diagnostics on-site.
• Triage intake screenings for necessity and priority.
• Record care data for CQI and regulatory reporting.
• Educate patients on facility policies and discharge planning.
• Maintain infection control practices and aseptic technique.
