Job description

Registered Nurse Circulator – 36 hrs/wk (plus call) – Operating Room

• Interprets clinical and diagnostic data, recognize the abnormal, and reports to MD/Anesthesia/ODS, or other OR staff members.
• Verifies completeness of chart, assesses needs of the patient.
• Demonstrates knowledge of surgical procedures by initiating nursing care according to the needs of patients; coordinate supplies, knowledge of usage of varius equipment. Maintains a safe, calm, and clean atmosphere.
• Documents all necessary information, including sponge and needle counts, I.V. fluids, medications, blood loss, and implants.
• Attends in-services on safety, BLS, ACLS, PALS, required education programs and staff meetings.
• Rotates “on-call” schedule as assigned by OR Manager.
• Performs other work related duties as assigned or delegated.

License Requirements:

• Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program.
• Must have a current professional license.
• Maintains current BLS, and ACLS.
