Job summary

Kirkland Court Health and Rehabilitation Center in Amarillo, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse (Charge Nurse) to lead the nursing team and elevate resident care. You will guide daily operations, ensure high-quality outcomes, and foster a culture of compassion and teamwork.

Ideal candidates bring 1–2 years of LTC or rehab experience, Texas RN licensure, CPR certification, and strong leadership and communication skills to mentor staff and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• RN licensed in Texas, valid CPR certification.
• Minimum 1–2 years in long-term care or rehabilitation, preferably as a Charge Nurse.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with a problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Lead by example: As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the nursing team, overseeing the delivery of high-quality patient care, and promoting a positive work environment.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams: Work closely with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of our residents.

• Monitor and improve patient care: Conduct patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and collaborate with other team members to ensure that our residents receive the highest level of care.

• Lead and mentor staff: Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to our nursing team members, promoting their growth and development.

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives: Contribute to our quality improvement efforts by identifying areas for improvement, developing and implementing solutions, and measuring outcomes.

Requirements:

• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Texas

• Current CPR certification

• Valid Texas Driver's License (if applicable)

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting (preferably as a Charge Nurse)

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
