Job summary

Cayuga Health in Ithaca, NY is seeking a Registered Nurse to support physicians and mid-level providers at Cayuga Immediate Care. You will deliver direct patient care and assist with appointment scheduling as needed, under the supervision of the care team.

The RN must hold NYS licensure and BLS certification. Duties include triage, care planning, patient education, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited RN program.
• Current NYS licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS Certification.
• Preferred: Basic knowledge of diseases and treatment; knowledge of medical insurance carriers and prior authorization; ability to perform manual blood pressure checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care per NYS Nursing Practice Act.
• Triage for physicians/providers with regard to clinical questions, test results and prescriptions.
• Prepare patient records for visits and patient education as directed by provider.
• Maintain compliance with regulations and participate in team meetings.
• Collaborate with the team to achieve patient-centered, quality care.

The RN may also assist in appointment scheduling and other related activities for optimal patient service.
