Job summary

CoxHealth is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse at CoxHealth South in Springfield, MO to provide patient care during pre- and post-procedure phases and assist in interventional procedures such as cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, and stent placement. The role circulates cases, administers sedation and medications, and handles hemodynamic care and point-of-care labs.

Requires Missouri RN license; BLS in 90 days; ACLS within one year; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Active RN license in Missouri.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS within one year of hire.
• Previous nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care during pre- and post-procedure phases.
• Assist in interventional procedures (cardiac catheterizations, valvuloplasties, angioplasties, stents).
• Insert pacemakers and ICDs when needed.
• Circulate cases and administer sedation, analgesia, and other medications.
• Initiate or maintain medication drips and perform point-of-care lab testing as ordered.

Job Description

The Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse provides nursing care to the patient during pre and post-procedure phases. The RN assists in performing interventional procedures like cardiac catheterizations, valvuloplasties, angioplasties, and stents. Other procedures include inserting pacemakers and implantable cardioverter‑defibrillators (ICDs). The Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse will circulate cases, administer moderate sedation, pain medication, and any other medications ordered by the physician during the procedure. The nurse initiates or maintains medication drips to manage the patient hemo‑dynamically and conducts point‑of‑care lab testing as ordered.

• $15,000 Sign-On Bonus
• 80 hours of front‑loaded Paid Time Off
• Up to $4,000 Relocation bonus
• $1 Certification pay
• $1 BSN pay
• Career Ladder Bonus eligible up to $5,000

Education

• Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

Experience

• Preferred: Previous nursing experience
