The Registered Nurse on the 4W Med-Surg Cardiac unit at CoxHealth South in Springfield, MO, provides comprehensive care for patients with cardiac conditions, monitors telemetry, administers medications, and collaborates with the care team.

Candidates must have an accredited nursing degree, Missouri RN license, and BLS within 90 days; preferred BSN and prior nursing experience. We offer certification pay, BSN pay, and a career ladder bonus.

4W Med‑Surg Cardiac is a fast-paced, dynamic unit that is ideal for nurses who enjoy critical thinking, prioritization, and continuous learning. Our team cares for a diverse, medically complex patient population requiring telemetry monitoring, cardiac interventions, respiratory support, and heart failure management. You will gain hands‑on experience with a variety of medication drips, specialized treatments, and procedures that are not typically encountered on a traditional medical‑surgical unit. Job Summary

The Registered Nurse is responsible for managing the care of the patients experiencing medical conditions or surgical procedures. The nurse must be able to assess patient condition, administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, keep records and provide patients and families with support and education. The Registered Nurse maintains a wide array of medical care knowledge in order to care for a diverse group of patients.

Education

• Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

Experience

• Preferred: Previous nursing experience
