Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, NV, is seeking a Cath Lab Registered Nurse for a full-time, day shift position on our Cath Lab Unit. The role provides direct patient care to adults and supports procedures in the cardiovascular lab.

The successful candidate will collaborate with physicians and the care team, ensure equipment readiness, and participate in CQI activities while delivering safe, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Nevada.
• BLS/ACLS certification preferred.
• Experience in cath lab setting desirable.

Responsibilities

• Admit, recover, and discharge patients from the Cardiovascular Lab.
• Provide direct patient care and adjust nursing plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Assess growth and development needs to deliver age-appropriate care.
• Communicate with physicians and team about patient condition; ensure equipment readiness.
• Assist in obtaining supplies and prepare the cardiovascular lab for each case.
• Monitor patient and perform sedation under physician guidance; participate in CQI activities.

This Cath Lab Registered Nurse opportunity is Full Time on our Cath Lab Unit and offers full benefits and a convenient day shift schedule. This dynamic individual will provide direct patient care to adult patient populations. Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the procedural/interventional environment. This position communicates effectively with the physician and team members about patient condition. Assesses procedure room for equipment functioning and readiness. Assists in obtaining supplies for individual cases and ensuring all appropriate needs of the cardiovascular lab team are met. Monitors, positions and assists patient during procedure as well as administers moderate sedation under the guidance of the Physician. Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Responsible for admitting, recovering and discharging of patients from the Cardiovascular Lab.
• Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other health team members as required and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and the skills necessary to provide age appropriate care to the patient population served. Able to interpret data about the patient’s status in order to identify each patient’s age specific needs and provide care needed by the patient group.
