Overview

There are three cath labs at UF Health’s Leesburg Hospital and one Electrophysiology Lab. An RN who is passionate about elevating their clinical skillset will truly value the professional experience gained while working here, as there are many complex interventional and structural heart cases. The providers are enthusiastic about the field and enjoy sharing their knowledge with staff. This is a close-knit Cath Lab where collaboration and teamwork are celebrated, equipped with state-of-the-art technology and medical devices. The director is a servant-leader with 30 years of experience at UF Health Leesburg and is dedicated to the success of her team and the community.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the director/charge nurse, the RN utilizes the nursing process to facilitate patient care, performing assessments and diagnoses, formulating care plans based on the diagnosis, and implementing and evaluating the plan of care specific to Cardiac Catheterization Lab patients. Responsible for maintaining an environment of care according to Joint Commission Standards. Responsible for the nursing care of patients before and after procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab.

This position shift will be:

• 7 am - 7 pm, three 12-hour shifts plus on-call duty (one night a week and one weekend a month, likely every 3rd or 4th weekend, from Friday night close of business to Monday 6 am).
• Must report within 30 minutes.
