Overview:

Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital in South Boston, Virginia is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Cath Lab

Hours/Shift: Full-Time Day Shift - Weekends and Holidays May Be Required

Note: Due to call requirements, candidates must live within 30 minutes of the hospital.

Responsibilities:

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing competent nursing care based on the nursing process, which includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN also adheres to professional standards of ethics, communication, collaboration, leadership, and evidence-based practice, possessing the clinical knowledge and skills necessary for the specific clinical area.

Education:

  • Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required)
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) (preferred)
  • Students completing an accredited nursing program are also eligible.

Certification/Licensure:

  • Current Registered Nursing License (required)
  • Students in the process of obtaining a license are also eligible.
  • BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
