Job summary

Saint Luke’s Health System in Kansas City, MO, seeks an experienced RN for the CV nursing team supporting interventional procedures, diagnostic cath, pacemaker/ICD implants and vascular interventions. You will collaborate with cardiology physicians to implement a care plan using aseptic technique and cardiovascular knowledge.

This full-time Day position requires multi-campus coverage across Saint Luke’s campuses with a 30-minute callback window.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in cardiovascular care.
• BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross) is required.
• Associate degree in nursing required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Interventional Cardiologist and CV team during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Support pacemaker/ICD implants and peripheral/structural interventions as needed.
• Maintain aseptic technique, patient monitoring, and safety throughout procedures.

Job Description

The RN - CV assists the Interventional Cardiologist and CV Specialist in providing care for patients undergoing diagnostic cardiac catheterization, interventional cardiac catheterization, pacemaker and automatic internal cardiac defibrillator implants, peripheral vascular interventions, structural heart disease interventions, special procedures, and other procedures involving the cardiac and vascular systems. Incumbents in this position assist physicians by implementing and performing a cardiac catheterization plan of care using standards of A.O.R.N. aseptic technique, cardiac and peripheral anatomy and physiology, radiographic imaging technique, standards of nursing care, and principles of cardiovascular technology. Position requires multi-campus work and multi-campus call.

Position is designated for Saint Luke’s Hospital and Saint Luke’s North Hospital and requires a 30 minute, or less, callback response. Position is required to work at all four campuses (Saint Luke’s East, Saint Luke’s Plaza, Saint Luke’s North and Saint Luke’s South Hospitals) when required to meet staffing needs.
