Job summary

Saint Clare's Health in Denville, NJ is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiovascular Lab. This full-time Days role involves 10-hour shifts and care for adults and geriatric patients undergoing cardiac procedures.

You will monitor patients and hemodynamics, coordinate with physicians, maintain equipment, and participate in quality improvement initiatives. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred and RN license required.
• Current BCLS (AHA) and ACLS upon hire and maintain current.
• One year CV Lab or Critical Care clinical experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care to adult and geriatric populations.
• Addresses psychosocial, physical and general care related to surgical environment.
• Communicates with physician about patient condition; assists with equipment and inventory.
• Assesses room/equipment readiness for procedures.
• Obtains supplies for cases and ensures Cardiovascular Lab team needs are met.
• Monitors physiologic and hemodynamic data during procedures.
• Records patient condition in the Cardiovascular lab.
• Participates in quality improvement activities.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care to adult and geriatric patient populations.
• Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment.
• Communicates with physician continuously and as needed about patient condition. Assists with the maintenance of equipment and inventory.
• Assesses procedure room or equipment functioning and readiness.
• Obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs of the Cardiovascular Laboratory team are met.
• Monitors physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab.
• Monitors and records patients condition continuously while in the Cardiovascular lab.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN); preferred.
• Active state Registered Nursing (RN) License; required.
• Current BCLS (AHA), ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current; required.
• One (1) year clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab doing cardiac work or in a Critical Care area; required.
