Job summary

McLaren Health Care is seeking a registered nurse to deliver nursing care in the Cardiac Cath Lab/ICU/ED setting, in Lansing, MI. Responsibilities include assessing patients, planning and teaching, and coordinating ancillary staff. Daily hours are 7:30am–6:00pm with no on-call requirement.

Required: MI RN license, ACLS within 6 months, 1+ year in Cath Lab/ICU/ED. This role anchors McLaren’s lung and cancer center network and supports high-acuity cardiac services.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• One year or more experience in Cardiac Cath Lab, ICU, or ED.
• Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license.
• ACLS within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assesses each assigned patient, documents and evaluates response to plan of care.
• Plans and implements the patient’s plan of care and provides patient teaching.
• Oversees all ancillary personnel for technical tasks.

Responsible for the delivery of nursing care within the assigned unit scope of practice following hospital policies and procedures, nursing process guidelines, standards of care, and standards of practice.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

1. Assesses each assigned patient, documents and evaluates their response to plan of care, and takes appropriate corrective action.

2. Plans and implements the patient’s plan of care/standard of care and provides patient teaching using the plan of care/standard of care.

3. Oversees all ancillary personnel for technical tasks.

Required:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• One year or more experience in Cardiac Cath Lab, ICU, or ED.
• Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months.

Preferred:

• One year of professional nursing experience.
• One year experience working with intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABPs)
