Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Michigan is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver patient care within the assigned unit, adhering to hospital policies and standards.

You will assess patients, implement and revise the plan of care, teach patients, and coordinate with ancillary staff. The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, Michigan RN license, ACLS within 6 months, and 1+ year in Cardiac Cath Lab/ICU/ED. Work hours are 7:30a–6p, with no on-call.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• 1+ year experience in Cardiac Cath Lab, ICU, or ED.
• Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license.
• ACLS certification within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assesses each assigned patient, documents and evaluates response to plan of care and takes corrective action.
• Plans and implements the patient’s plan of care/standard of care and provides patient teaching using the plan of care/standard of care.
• Oversees all ancillary personnel for technical tasks.

Responsible for the delivery of nursing care within the assigned unit scope of practice following hospital policies and procedures, nursing process guidelines, standards of care, and standards of practice.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

1. Assesses each assigned patient, documents and evaluates their response to plan of care, and takes appropriate corrective action.

2. Plans and implements the patient’s plan of care/standard of care and provides patient teaching using the plan of care/standard of care.

3. Oversees all ancillary personnel for technical tasks.

Required:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• One year or more experience in Cardiac Cath Lab, ICU, or ED.
• Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months.

Preferred:

• One year of professional nursing experience.
• One year experience working with intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABPs)
