Job summary

McLaren Health Care is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Cath Lab in Lansing, Michigan. This per diem position involves assessing patients, administering nursing care, and overseeing technical tasks.

The ideal candidate should have experience in Cardiac Cath Lab, ICU, or ED, hold a current RN license in Michigan, and possess BLS certification. ACLS certification is also required within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• One year or more experience in Cardiac Cath Lab, ICU, or ED.
• One year of professional nursing experience preferred.
• Experience with intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABPs) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the delivery of nursing care within the assigned unit scope of practice.
• Plans and implements the patient's plan of care.
• Oversees all ancillary personnel for technical tasks.

Daily Work Times: 7:30a-6p

Position Summary

Responsible for the delivery of nursing care within the assigned unit scope of practice following hospital policies and procedures, nursing process guidelines, standards of care, and standards of practice.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Assesses each assigned patient, documents and evaluates their response to plan of care, and takes appropriate corrective action.
• Plans and implements the patient’s plan of care/standard of care and provides patient teaching using the plan of care/standard of care.
• Oversees all ancillary personnel for technical tasks.

Required

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• One year or more experience in Cardiac Cath Lab, ICU, or ED.
• Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license.
• BLS certification as Healthcare Provider.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months.

Preferred

• One year of professional nursing experience.
• One year experience working with intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABPs).
