Job summary

Capital Health is the region's leader in providing progressive, quality patient care with significant investments in physicians, nurses and staff. This RN position offers 12-hour shifts and requires strong nursing knowledge, clinical judgment and excellent communication.

A BSN is preferred and licensure across multi-state options is noted, with essential training such as ATCN/TNCC and stroke certifications to be obtained within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree or graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN preferred.
• Licensure: RN – NJ or RN – NLC multi-state.
• ATCN or TNCC within 1 year of hire.
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification or obtain by orientation.
• ACLS/NRP/PALS within 6 months for specific units.

Responsibilities

• Delivers quality care to patients through nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Assures patient safety by following policies and procedures.
• Provides support for pain management and comfort measures for patients and families.
• Plans and documents discharge planning to maximize patient independence.
• Participates in unit and hospital committees and performance improvement activities.
