The role emphasizes teaching, policy adherence, and ongoing quality improvement within a supportive hospital setting in Annapolis, Maryland. ACLS and CPR certifications are required or must be obtained within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Must obtain ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• Current RN licensure in Maryland.
• American Heart Association CPR for Healthcare Providers.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates nursing knowledge and skills in the unit; applies the nursing process with diverse patients and families.
• Builds teaching plans considering patient learning needs and barriers.
• Participates in QI, CPI and risk management activities at unit or organizational level.
• Contributes to safe patient care through evidence-based guidelines and policies.
• Participates in unit governance, staff orientation, and real-time documentation of patient records.
