Job summary

IMS, a physician-led health care organization headquartered in Phoenix, seeks a professional Registered Nurse for our Cardiology clinic in a PRN capacity. You will support treatments, monitor patients, and assist physicians with plans while maintaining HIPAA compliance and accurate EHR documentation.

Responsibilities include vital signs, history taking, lab coordination, patient education, IV starts, and chemotherapy administration as needed. Flexible hours and potential travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Arizona RN license and current BCLS/ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 1 year Cardiac Cath Lab experience and 1 year in critical care.
• Excellent interpersonal/communication skills; work with diverse teams.
• Ability to manage changing priorities and HIPAA compliance.
• Reliable, organized, and able to work outside normal hours when needed.

Responsibilities

• Take patient histories and vital signs; document in EHR.
• Examine and assist with treatments under physician supervision.
• Order and track labs; ensure timely physician review.
• Record progress notes in the EHR system.
• Educate patients on treatment plans and follow-ups.
• Order and carry out chemotherapy: IVs, injections, blood draws.
• Travel may be required; hours may vary.

IMS is currently searching for a professional, compassionate and knowledgeable individual to fill the position of Registered Nurse in our Cardiology clinic. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for facilitating treatments to patients in the office and assisting the physician with treatment plans, Instill the IMS mission, vision and values in the work performed.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of a physician, the RN will take patients medical histories and vital signs and record the information in the EHR system
• Examine and assist with the treatment of patients
• Order necessary laboratory tests and track results and make sure the physician reviews the results in a timely manner
• Record progress notes in EHR system
• Instruct and counsel patients on treatment plans
• Order and carry out chemotherapy: including, starting IV's, perform injections, draw blood samples
• Travel may be required depending on business needs
• Hours may vary and be outside of normal office hours depending on business needs

Requirement Education & Experience

• Registered Nurse with a licensure in the State of Arizona
• Current BCLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab and 1 year in critical care
• Requires exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to interact with people from different backgrounds and cultures
• Requires the ability to manage multiple changing priorities in an effective and organized fashion
• Must have knowledge of and follow HIPAA guidelines and secure Protected Health Information at all times
• The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
