Job summary

MetroHealth seeks a dedicated RN to join the Cardiac Catheterization/EP Lab. You will provide direct patient care for adults undergoing invasive cardiology procedures, assist with ablations, PCIs, and device implants, and support post-procedure recovery.

Applicants must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with Ohio RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS (ACLS within 6 months if needed); BSN preferred. Benefits include tuition reimbursement, certification incentives, and OPERS retirement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Ohio RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications (ACLS within 6 months if not current).
• Experience or willingness to work in an EP lab/cardiac cath environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care for adults in invasive cardiology.
• Assist with EP procedures, ablations, PCIs, and device implants.
• Monitor patient status and interpret basic EKGs in lab settings.
• Collaborate with RNs, technicians, and physicians in a fast-paced lab.

Bi-weekly Hours: 72.00

Shift: Rotating Shifts; On Call Requirement

Join our Cardiac Catheterization/EP Lab!

Primary Patient Population:

• Adult Invasive Cardiology

Primary skills utilized/learned:

• Electrophysiology Ablations
• Percutaneous Coronary Interventions
• Cardioversions
• Device Implants
• Advanced EKG Interpretations

Personnel RN will work with:

• RNs, Cardiovascular Technicians, Radiology Technicians

Number Cases:

• Performs 6- 15 cases daily

• American College of Cardiology NCDR Chest Pain-MI Registry Platinum Performance Achievement Award

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire
