Job summary

Saint Luke’s Cardiovascular Consultants is hiring a Registered Nurse with Cardiology experience for our Saint Luke’s South location. The role features four 10-hour day shifts per week from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with no nights, weekends, or holidays.

A KS and MO RN license is required, along with BLS certification and an Associate Degree in Nursing. Responsibilities include in-clinic nursing care, telephone triage, patient flow coordination, and scheduling emergent appointments.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices.
• Perform telephone triage, manage patient flow and coordinate care.
• Schedule emergent patient appointments and assess learning needs for patients and families.
• Administer IV medications and perform duties as assigned based on clinic needs.
• Delegate tasks to clinical staff per competencies and scope of practice.
• Serve as subject matter expert for patient education, assessment, documentation of care and testing.
• Enter admission orders as directed by provider and manage expired samples.
• Work in a team setting or autonomously and provide excellent customer service.

In clinic setting: Provide professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices. Provide telephone triage, patient flow, and coordination of patient care. Schedule emergent need patient appointments, identify learning needs for patients and families, provide advice and recommendations, insert intravenous access with medication administration and duties as assigned based on clinic need. Delegate tasks to clinical staff in accordance with demonstrated competencies and consideration to Scope of Practice. Serve as subject matter expert for patient education, assessment, interpretation, and documentation of patient care and testing. Enter admission orders as directed by provider. Manage expired samples. Able to work in a team atmosphere as well as autonomously. Provide excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor at all times. May cover Medical Assistant, LPN, or other office duties as needed.
