Registered Nurse - Cardiac Specialty Unit (0.75 FTE, Nights)

Join our team as a Registered Nurse - Cardiac Specialty Unit (0.75 FTE, Nights) at Seattle Children's.

We are opening a new Cardiac Specialty Unit in July 2025, designed to provide bidirectional care for patients with complex cardiac needs, including up to 6 Intermediate Care level patients and 7 cardiac surgical or pre-transplant patients.

As a vital part of the healthcare team, the RN will provide safe, family-centered care, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care collaboratively with patients, families, and team members. Responsibilities include supervising and delegating tasks to other healthcare staff as per state regulations and hospital policies. The role supports Seattle Children's strategic initiatives such as CPI, value-based behaviors, error prevention, patient safety, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
  • Prior pediatric healthcare experience preferred.
  • Current Washington State RN license or applicable state license.
  • Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers (PEARS or PALS accepted in lieu of BLS for certain areas). PALS must be obtained within 3 months for specific units.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
  • Pediatric healthcare experience.

Compensation Range: $47.60 - $89.80 per hour, based on full-time employment (2080 hours/year). Salary offers depend on experience, skills, and other factors.
