Job summary

IU Health Bloomington Hospital is seeking an experienced registered nurse to join the Cardiac Cath Lab team. The role includes caring for adult patients, administering sedation, and monitoring during procedures in a collaborative EP/IR setting.

Candidates should hold an Indiana RN license (NLC acceptable) with ASN required and BSN preferred, plus BLS and unit-specific ALS/ACLS as needed. Opportunities include a sign-on bonus and weekend rotation coverage.

Qualifications

• Requires ASN with BSN preferred; active RN license in Indiana or NLC RN license.
• Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• BLS; additional Life Support trainings may be required by unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the Cardiac Cath Lab for adult patients.
• Administer sedation and closely monitor patients during procedures.
• Collaborate with EP/IR teams to ensure patient safety and quality care.

Overview

Part-time and Full-time roles are eligible for a $30,000 sign-on bonus (available through 9/30/2026). This position is also referral eligible.

Shift: This position is for an EP RN. 4 -10hr shift 0630-1700. On call weekend and holiday rotation. Approximately 2-3 evenings per month and every 8th weekend. Applicants must reside within 30 minutes of the hospital for response time radius.

The Cardiac Cath Lab, equipped with 6 labs shared with EP & IR. They specialize in minimally invasive cardiac care for a wide variety of adult patients ranging in acuity. The team fosters a supportive and collaborative environment, emphasizing a strong team culture. Additionally, they actively support the patient during procedures by administering sedation and closely monitoring patients. A limited radiography license course will be provided after orientation. Qualifications

• Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.

• Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.

• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.

  • Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).

• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.

• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
