Job summary

Northwest Texas Healthcare System in Amarillo seeks a Behavioral Health / RN to deliver safe, competent nursing care aligned with policy and philosophy. You will lead and support the healthcare team, applying patient-centered care principles to every interaction.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
  • Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s).
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire or within 30 days of start date and maintain certification throughout employment.
  • Current state nursing license or permit to practice nursing in the State of Texas.
  • De-escalation training within 90 days of hire; does not require maintaining.
  • Ongoing compliance with demonstration of clinically pertinent competencies as determined by the facility.

Position Summary: Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.   7. 7. Bending, lifting (minimum of 25 pounds), grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing, and pulling.
  8. 8. Exposure to infectious organisms, agents, and toxic chemicals
  9. 9. On call shift coverage as required by department
