Our two campuses in Methuen and Haverhill have a total of 320 beds. We are a full-service, acute care hospital offering comprehensive inpatient medical/surgical units, outpatient care, and 24/7 emergency services. We have three behavioral health units, cardiac telemetry, and critical care service lines. Our Haverhill campus features all private rooms, and our Methuen campus offers a state-of-the-art catheterization suite and a Joint Center of Excellence, recognized as a Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Distinction+ Center for Knee and Hip Replacement.

Position Summary:

The registered nurse provides care to patients in an adult behavioral health unit. Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager, the RN is responsible for delivering patient care by applying nursing knowledge, following departmental and hospital policies, and meeting age-specific requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients accurately and develop appropriate care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in condition.
  • Document care accurately and thoroughly.
  • Collaborate with physicians, other hospital staff, and community agencies.
  • Provide patient and family education.
  • Maintain a safe environment and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Perform patient transfers and assist with mobility as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
  • Current nursing license in Massachusetts.
  • BLS certification required.
  • At least 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience preferred.
