Our two campuses in Methuen and Haverhill have a total of 320 beds. We are a full-service, acute care hospital offering comprehensive inpatient medical/surgical units, outpatient care, and 24/7 emergency services. We have three behavioral health units, as well as cardiac telemetry and critical care service lines. Our Haverhill campus offers all private rooms, and our Methuen campus features a new state-of-the-art catheterization suite and a Joint Center of Excellence, recognized as a Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Distinction+ Center for Knee and Hip Replacement.

Position Summary:

The registered nurse provides care to patients in an Adult Behavioral Health Unit. Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, the RN is responsible for delivering patient care based on the nursing process and age-specific needs, following departmental and hospital policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Monitor patient progress and document findings accurately.
  • Collaborate with physicians, other hospital staff, and community agencies to coordinate care.
  • Provide patient and family education regarding health conditions and treatments.
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for behavioral health patients.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
  • Certification/Licensure: Current nursing license in Massachusetts required. BCLS certification required.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience preferred.
