Job summary

Willow Springs Center in Reno, Nevada seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift (6:30pm–7:00am, Thu/Fri/Sat) to deliver professional nursing care to youth aged 6–17 in a residential behavioral health setting.

The role emphasizes comprehensive clinical observations, health assessments, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic program. A current RN license in NV, a nursing degree, and pediatric/psychiatric experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as an RN in the state of employment.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• At least one year in a health care setting; child & adolescent experience a plus; prior psychiatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to youth in a residential treatment setting.
• Identify patient health care needs using nursing assessment skills and observe health changes.
• Attend mandatory orientation and adhere to Nurse Practice Act guidelines.

Our Nurses provide professional nursing care to youth in the residential treatment setting in accordance with the authorized scope of practice specified in the Nurse Practice Act. In doing so, they identify patient health care needs utilizing physical and behavioral professional nursing assessment skills and make comprehensive clinical observations and evaluations of health needs including subtle abnormalities and changes in condition.

Qualifications

Licensure: Current license or permit to practice as an RN in the state of employment.

Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience: At least one year in a health care setting. Prior psychiatric experience preferred. Child & Adolescent experience a plus!

Orientation: Attend a mandatory 7-day orientation during day shift (M-F, plus M/Tu)
