Job summary

Willow Springs Center in Reno, NV seeks a Registered Nurse for full-time night shift (6:30pm–7:00am, Thurs/Fri/Sat) to provide nursing care to youth ages 6 to 17 in a residential behavioral health setting. You will perform nursing assessments, identify health care needs, and document health changes as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in state of employment (Nevada)
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program; Bachelor's degree preferred
• At least 1 year in health care; psychiatric/child-adolescent experience a plus
• Attendance at a 7-day orientation (day shift)

Our Nurses provide professional nursing care to youth in the residential treatment setting in accordance with the authorized scope of practice specified in the Nurse Practice Act. In doing so, they identify patient health care needs utilizing physical and behavioral professional nursing assessment skills and make comprehensive clinical observations and evaluations of health needs including subtle abnormalities and changes in condition.

Qualifications

Licensure: Current license or permit to practice as an RN in the state of employment.

Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience: At least one year in a health care setting. Prior psychiatric experience preferred. Child & Adolescent experience a plus!

Orientation: Attend a mandatory 7-day orientation during day shift (M-F, plus M/Tu)
