Job summary

Incredible Health seeks a Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health in the Jackson, MI area. You will perform initial assessments and craft individualized care plans with a multidisciplinary team to support patients and families.

You will administer psychotropic medications, monitor responses, and assist with discharge planning while upholding confidentiality and ANA ethics.

Qualifications

• BSN or higher from accredited program.
• Active and unencumbered RN license.
• 1+ years experience in behavioral health (inpatient or outpatient).
• Strong understanding of psychotropic medications and side effects.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per ANA ethics.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial patient assessments and develop individualized care plans with a multidisciplinary team.
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor for efficacy and side effects.
• Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and families using evidence-based therapeutic communication.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions and educational workshops on mental health topics.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate discharge planning and aftercare.

Nurses with experience in any of the following areas are strongly encouraged to apply: Behavioral health, Counseling, Intake, Medication side effects, PTSD, Psychosomatic Medication Interactions, Suicide and self harm risk assessment, or Therapeutic nurse/patient relationship.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher educational attainment from an accredited program
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• 1+ years experience working in a behavioral health setting, preferably in an inpatient or outpatient environment
• Strong understanding of psychotropic medications, their side effects, and proper administration protocols
• Demonstrated ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards as outlined by the American Nurses Association (ANA)
