Job Summary

Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time, onsite position in Bangall, NY. The RN will be providing one-on-one care for a 5-year-old student with medical needs, including assisting with bus riding (leaving home around 8 AM, returning around 3:30 PM), suctioning, positioning, and supporting mobility. The student uses a wheelchair and requires hands-on care throughout the day. This is a wonderful opportunity to make a direct impact on a young student's life by providing essential care and ensuring their safety.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one care for a 5-year-old student, including suctioning, positioning, and assisting with mobility.
  • Assist with bus riding to ensure the student is safely transported to and from school.
  • Monitor the student's health and well-being throughout the school day.
  • Collaborate with school staff to meet the student's physical, emotional, and medical needs.
  • Respond to any medical emergencies that arise and provide immediate care.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate medical records for the student.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and school staff to ensure the student's needs are met.

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in New York.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
  • Experience with suctioning, positioning, and working with young children with mobility challenges is preferred.
  • Ability to assist with bus riding and ensure safe transportation for the student.
  • Compassionate, patient, and flexible in working with children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with school staff, parents, and other healthcare providers.
