Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Detroit is seeking a registered nurse for a 36-hour per week night shift with every other weekend and holiday rotation. The role focuses on coordinating quality patient care using the nursing process, and requires Michigan licensure and a BSN preferred.

The nursing team participates in quality assurance, research, and shared governance to continually improve patient outcomes and professional practice standards.

Qualifications

  • BSN preferred.
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
  • Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership in coordinating and delivering quality compassionate patient care.
  • Utilizes the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching.
  • Communicates pertinent patient/family information to the health care team.
  • Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

Job Description
