Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides patient-centered care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality care based on clinical protocols and physician orders. Collaborates with healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care and outcomes.

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • Conducts thorough patient assessments and documents findings.
  • Provides age-appropriate care and education.
  • Administers medications and monitors for side effects.
  • Assists physicians during procedures within competency scope.
  • Develops and evaluates individualized care plans.
  • Responds to medical emergencies and participates in life-saving interventions.
  • Advocates for patient rights and needs.
  • Provides patient and family education.
  • Implements infection control protocols.
  • Operates medical equipment safely.
  • Promotes patient safety and maintains a clean environment.
  • Participates in audits and compliance checks.
  • Documents care thoroughly and promptly.
  • Engages in professional development.
  • Participates in quality improvement initiatives.

Specialized Roles:

  • Critical Care RN: Administers medications, manages life support, and provides care for critically ill patients.
  • Emergency Services RN: Provides immediate care, triage, and stabilization in emergency situations.

Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in acute care required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of nursing process and practices.
  • Ability to perform assessments and communicate findings effectively.
  • Proficient in medication administration and monitoring.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Licenses and Certifications:
