Job summary

Asante Three Rivers Medical Center in Grants Pass, OR is seeking an IMCU RN for our Intermediate Care Unit. The 12-bed unit operates 24/7, caring for diverse acute patients with private rooms and robust support staff. Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience preferred; CCU/ICU experience valued.
• ACLS required within 6 months; BLS certified at start.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with critical care team to care for IMCU patients.
• Monitor patients with PCA/epidurals and various drips.
• Support respiratory care and manage stable tracheostomies and vents.

• $2.50 extra for working between 3:00pm - 11:00pm

Position Summary

Asante Three Rivers Medical Center Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) has 12 beds that operate 24 hours per day. All rooms are private. This unit cares for a variety of patients, including those who are suffering from serious conditions, such as diabetes mellitus, electrolyte imbalances, renal failure, liver failure, gastrointestinal bleeds, blood disorders, cancer, sepsis, surgical patients, respiratory distress, or multi-system organ failure.

As an IMCU RN at Asante, you will have the opportunity to:

• Collaborate with fellow members of the critical care team, including RT, PT, OT, Pharmacy, Surgeons, and Hospitalists
• Care for patients with PCAs and epidurals
• Care for patients on heparin, insulin, or Cardizem drips
• Care for stable tracheostomies and patients who require respiratory support

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in acute patient care environment is preferred
• Critical Care experience is preferred
• New Grad RN's within 6 months of obtaining licensure may be considered without prior experience requirements

Licensure/Certifications

• RN: Registered Nurse licensed by the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) is required upon start
• BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required upon start
• ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support certified by the American Heart Association (AHA) required within 6 months of start date

Preferred Certifications

• CCRN-A: Certified Critical Care RN - Adults
• CCRN-P: Critical Care RN - Pediatrics
• CCRN-N: Critical Care Registered Nurse - Neonatal
• PCCN: Progressive Care Certified Nurse
